Personal Commitment:
  • As the child of a retired public school teacher of 30 years, and an educator myself,  public education has been my life long passion!  In addition to my work on the School Board, I am also an active volunteer in the schools and in my community.

  • I have served as a literacy volunteer for both the elementary and preschool programs in Wayzata and volunteered to read weekly in a kindergarten class.  I have been a Partners in Art volunteer for the past 6 years and I am a member of the Plymouth Creek and East Middle School PTO.

Outside of the classroom, I have taught vacation bible school for the past 2 years, served as a parent volunteer for my children's sports teams,  and my husband and I are supporters of various community nonprofits that focus on food security and supportive programs for children and families.

Blending my Board and personal passions, I am am proud of, and encouraged by, the work of the Great Expectations Initiative of Interfaith Outreach.  It is so exciting to see our community come together to build a network of support from cradle to career!

Family Focused:

My husband Kurt and I have lived in Plymouth for over a decade.  We are the proud parents of Emma, Annika, and Quinn.  Emma attends East Middle School and Annika and Quinn attend Plymouth Creek Elementary.

As a family, we enjoy camping, walking our dog Leo, and exploring new places. We also value volunteering and spending time with extended family and friends.
