Ensuring a world class education that prepares each and every student to thrive today and excel tomorrow in an ever changing global society is our District Mission Statement. 
And, it's NOT just a tagline, it's the foundation of my work!!
As a sitting Board member, my goals and accomplishments are directly aligned with the District Road Map and I have dedicated my work to realizing success in each of the areas. I am PROUD of what we have accomplished together and I am EXCITED for the opportunities that lie ahead!

​Exceptional Student Learning, Experiences, and Relationships:

  • ​Provided governance and leadership to ensure daily quality instruction and comprehensive student supports that continue the tradition of excellence for our nationally ranked school district.    
  • Led the creation of the Board Health and Well-Being committee to provide governance, leadership, and action around student wellness, through a collaboration with Wayzata Cafes, curriculum and instruction, student mental health, and community education.
  • Supported and ensured the allocation of resources for Student Support Specialists in every elementary, and the expansion of alpha support groups at Wayzata High School.
  • Supported and implemented a change to District Start times to better meet student sleep and mental health needs.
  • Championed student voice by advocating for and planning increased dialog opportunities between the board and our students.
  • Fully supported the Equity Commitment and the focus on ensuring high quality educational experiences for ALL students

​Community Trust, Confidence and Partnership:

  • Managed on-going population growth and passed two successful operating referendums that resulted in the building of Meadow Ridge & Northwoods elementaries, expanded the Wayzata High School, added additions at Oakwood, Greenwood & CMS, facilitated the use of the club house for the WHS Transition program, and provided media center and safety & security updates in all of our buildings.
  • Served as Treasurer as the District explored and acted upon refinancing municipal bonds, resulting in a savings of over 13 Million dollars for our taxpayers.
  • Supported the District as we navigated the various impacts of the global pandemic, carefully considered family impacts, and provided a learning experience that met the needs of our students and families.

​Operational Excellence:

  • Maintained the District AAA bond rating through multiple reviews, including a re-affirmation in 2021!
  • Participated in the hiring committees for our exceptional Director of Wayzata Cafes, the Associate Superintendent, the Executive Director of Business and Finance, and the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning, among many others.
  • Advocated for and fully supported the building of the Early Learning School addition at Oakwood elementary to ensure better access and quality facilities for our youngest learners.
  • Extended our tradition of excellence by supporting all operations that keep Wayzata as an employer and District of choice in the metro and throughout Minnesota.
