Serving our community as a school board member has been one of the most rewarding positions that I have held. I have learned a ton in the past 4 years and I have deep respect for my colleagues on the Board as well as all of our District employees. I am excited to build on the knowledge that I have gained to work even harder in my next term and continue to promote excellence for each and every student.
I have been fortunate to have the opportunity serve on a number of Board committees over the past 4 years. I think this opportunity has given me a broad base of understanding of our District and how everything works together. The committees on which I have served include:
Policy (4 years), Chair 2015-present
Human Resources (2 years)
Finance (2 years)
Facilities (1 year)
Stakeholders (2 years), Chair 2015
Teaching & Learning (2 years)

Excellence for Each and Every Student
In 2015, the School Board affirmed the Strategic Road map and defined 4 Strategic Directions to focus our work. I believe deeply in our commitment to the Directions and have dedicated my work to realizing success in each of the areas. For a link to the District Strategic Road map, click here.
In brief, the Strategic Directions include:
Achievement: By the end of 3rd grade, all students will achieve at or beyond grade level expectations in reading, writing, speaking & mathematics.
Each and Every: Student achievement will not be predictable by any demographic classification
Personalization: All students will know and understand their unique talents, have a voice in their educational experiences, and take ownership of their learning, carrier aspirations and future success.
Health & Well Being: All students will feel a sense of longing and connection to their school, where social emotional, physical, and mental health is nurtured and valued.
